MEET MARIA
My career has always lived somewhere between logistics and design. Before launching Barr Event Co. in 2016, I worked in retail, visual merchandising, catering sales and events, experiences that taught me just as much about how an event should function as how it should look.
Ten years later, I’ve planned and designed weddings throughout the U.S. and abroad, bringing that same balance of organization and creativity to every celebration.
I personally lead the planning and design of every Barr Event Co. wedding, working closely with my couples and a trusted team of event professionals to bring the entire wedding weekend together.

My background in fashion design still influences the way I approach weddings today, through texture, pattern, color, styling and all of the small details that make a design feel considered rather than simply beautiful.
When I’m not planning weddings, I’m usually at home in Marietta with my husband and our three kids, planning our next trip, rearranging something in our house, or convincing myself I absolutely need another vintage furniture find. I’m Peruvian, bilingual, forever inspired by travel, and happiest around a table with really good food and the people I love.
